Jennifer Eagan, Anchor Reporter for Ch. 5’s WCVB TV, interviews Wayne Mezitt, chairman of both Weston Nurseries and the Massachusetts Invasive Plant Advisory Group (MIPAG), to discuss familiar trees and shrubs that have become invasive in many areas in this region. Wayne answers questions about Asian knotweed (Fallopia sp.), autumn olive (Eleagnus umbellata) and Callery pear (Pyrus calleryana), showing examples of each.
