More than just pollen and nectar the plants in this garden provide food sources for the larval stages of dozens of species of Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths). When left standing over the winter this garden will provide a place to overwinter for all our pollinator friends.

Our Native Perennial Garden Designs are made for a 100-square-foot area. The suggested placement and number of plants appear as circles on the bird’s-eye view (left). The side-view silhouette (right) shows the structure of each plant and the way the garden is layered.
The designs can be multiplied to fill a larger space or combined with other designs to help you achieve your garden goals. For example, the Pollinator Powerhouse Garden Design and the Hummingbird Garden Design can be combined to create a display of bright blooms and equally colorful visitors.
