Mechanic
Weston Nurseries located in Hopkinton, MA, is seeking a full-time year-round experienced mechanic to join our team. We are looking for a seasoned mechanic that has worked with a variety of older vehicles and equipment. The right candidate would be responsible to help with the maintenance and repair of nursery equipment and perform related work as assigned.
Duties:
Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs gas and diesel vehicles and equipment
Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment
Maintains records and reports for maintenance of vehicles and equipment
Education:
High School Diploma or Certified in related field
Experience:
Must be trained in methods, material, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance.
Must be able to diagnose mechanical problems and perform the repairs.
Must have knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
Skills:
Must have basic mechanic’s tools
Must be skilled in the use of power and hand tools
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
Must be 18 years old
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be trained in methods, materials, tools and techniques used in vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance
Must be able to diagnose mechanical problems and perform the repairs
Must have knowledge of safety practices and procedures
