Weston Nurseries is pleased to announce that we have acquired Stonegate Gardens in Lincoln Massachusetts. This will be our 4th garden center operation along with our Hopkinton, Chelmsford, and Hingham locations. We are currently transitioning the existing space and planning to open the Greenhouse starting Saturday, February 10th!
We understand there may be many questions about this transition, and we are committed to addressing them as much as possible. To start, here is a list of FAQs about our current plan and progress.
FAQs:
We are planning to open the greenhouse on Saturday, February 10th with plenty of houseplants, pottery, and some decorative items available to purchase for Valentines Day. We plan on opening the whole store sometime in late winter. Please stay tuned for more information to come as we get things set up for spring.
No. The garden center will be called Weston Nurseries to join our other 3 retail locations in Hopkinton, Chelmsford and Hingham.
We have been fond of Stonegate for many years and want to continue to offer a wonderful shopping experience inside and out. Our plans are to bring in many of the home decor types of products that Lynne would offer and display them within the fireplace room and greenhouse spaces. We will expand on some gardening lines which will be displayed in the main store where the registers are and we will create a birding themed room in the room on the lower level.
As for the outside, we will continue to offer a large selection of annuals, planters, and various garden decor that will be displayed primarily in the front and side areas of the buildings and greenhouse. Our offering of trees, shrubs, and perennials will be expanded to offer some interesting choices that are appropriate for all the specific site conditions our customers need to address with their landscapes. We also will be offering more native plants with many grown by Weston Nurseries.
Yes. Because we will have a broad selection of larger sized trees and shrubs, we are anticipating the planting service to expand. We will deliver and set up the heavier containers and garden decor as well. For projects that need site work or hardscape work, we will refer the installation to top-notch area landscape companies that are proficient with this type of work.
Yes. Those services will remain, along with those people who have performed these services in the past.
Yes. Delivery services Stonegate offered in the past will continue for all product types.
We will offer our warranty going forward which is similar to what Stonegate offered. We have also made the decision to apply our warranty to trees and shrubs that were purchased within the past year from Stonegate as we feel it demonstrates a commitment on our end to our customers being successful with their purchases. We will need to see a receipt or proof of purchase in order to replace any plant material as we are uncertain at this point if we will be successful in looking up prior purchase records from Stonegate.
Yes. We will offer a terrific year-round ever-changing selection of houseplants, gardening products, birding, and unique boutique gifts. We will also have a full selection of holiday decorations from theme decorated trees, garlands, tabletop, fresh cut Christmas trees and the greenhouse will be full of holiday houseplants.
Yes. However, we will only accept them within the 2024 calendar year, the full balance will have to be used on a single transaction, and they will only be accepted at the Lincoln store, so please bring them in!
We are making changes to the facility that will make it easier for you to shop with us. Two of the biggest changes are we have expanded the amount of parking spaces and we will be installing a check out building in the lowered parking lot area to make it much more convenient to shop for the shrubs, trees, and perennials behind the store. We also will be installing a check out station in the greenhouse to assist with houseplants and annuals.
